Gurur Gaye Günal is a distinguished attorney with over 26 years of legal experience, specializing in Sports Law, Space Law, Arbitration Law, Intellectual Property Law, Contract Law, and Mediation. She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law and pursued her Master’s degree in Space Law at the University of Luxembourg, solidifying her position as a pioneer in the intersection of law and outer space affairs.
Her passion for legal education and knowledge-sharing led her to publish a comprehensive book on Space Law and deliver numerous lectures at international conferences focused on both space law and sports law.
She has organized several high-level international sports law conferences and education programs in collaboration with Ankara Bar Association, General Directorate of Sport Administration, and ISDE – Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía in Barcelona, Spain.
As a legal representative, Ms. Günal has acted on behalf of numerous athletes, clubs, and sports professionals, advocating before leading arbitration and disciplinary bodies such as the IAF, WADA, Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), UEFA, and FIFA.
In the rapidly evolving field of space law, she plays a crucial role as the Head Legal Consultant for ŞiraSpace, a leading private space company, where she provides expert legal guidance on international space law, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property matters related to space technology and innovation.
