The meeting was chaired by the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.
It was held on the eve of the FIFA Club World Cup Final which took place on 13 July 2025.
Amongst the issues discussed at the meeting was the International Match Calendar and, in particular, the need for players’ rest and recovery.
Also, regarding competitions, the meeting agreed on the importance of striking the right balance between national team football and club football and between domestic, continental, and global club competitions.
