Swiss Sport Integrity (SSI) has published its Annual Report for 2025 on 15 April 2026.<\/p>\n
SSI is an independent foundation under Swiss Law, with the aims of combatting doping, ethical misconduct and wrongdoing in sport in a sustainable and effective manner.<\/p>\n
In doing so, SSI is guided by international guidelines as well as the principles of the Doping Statute of Swiss Olympic and the Statutes on Ethics in Swiss Sport and has the necessary international recognitions.<\/p>\n
The SSI has issued the following Media Release:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 2025 reporting year of Swiss Sport Integrity was marked by a heavy workload, targeted developments and important strategic decisions. In the area of anti-doping, 2,623 controls were carried out, and prevention measures were expanded through 223 training-sessions. The Reporting Service once again saw a considerable increase, with 501 reports.<\/p>\n
Increased imports of \u00abmiracle products\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n The previous year had seen a fall for the first time in the number of seizures of doping substances, but the figure increased again in the reporting year, with a total of 1,282 seizures. The number of seized shipments with the active ingredient DHEA fell in the reporting year, which can be attributed to the various measures by Swiss Sport Integrity to thwart the import of such products. In contrast, the number of seizures of products being advertised as \u00abmiracle products\u00bb, such as SARMs and ibutamoren increased significantly. Not only did the number of seizures rise sharply, but also the subsequent number of doping suspensions.<\/p>\n 30 anti-doping rule violations<\/em><\/p>\n In 2025, Swiss Sport Integrity issued a ruling with sanctions within the results management process in 18 cases. In ten of the 18 SSI-sanctioned cases, a procedure-concluding agreement was signed, involving a warning and suspensions ranging from one month to four years. In addition, the Swiss Sports Tribunal issued 13 decisions in relation to anti-doping rule violations, resulting in 12 sanctions involving a warning and suspensions ranging from six months to 10 years. Two of these decisions were appealed against before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS); both decisions are still pending.<\/p>\n Stable control figures<\/em><\/p>\n The number of doping controls carried out as part of our domestic control strategy remained at the previous year\u2019s level or even increased slightly. A total of 3,621 doping samples were taken over the course of 2,623 doping controls. In the second half of the year, in particular, there was greater focus on those athletes who could potentially qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics. The stability of the control figures, despite ever greater regulatory requirements and stipulations, is proof of the high degree of maturity of the control strategy and efficient use of resources.<\/p>\n New record numbers in doping prevention<\/em><\/p>\n In 2025, once again a remarkable level of accomplishments was achieved with the available funds. Far higher figures were achieved for both presence-based formats and digital e-learning courses. The 223 presence-based training sessions are a new record for the Foundation. The Clean Winner e-learning platform, with 4,343 issued certificates, and the Medication Inquiry Service Global DRO with over 260,000 searches to check the prohibited status of medications reached new record highs. Swiss Sport Integrity\u2019s popular online format Parents\u2019 Info also saw a significant increase in participation, with well over 400 involved parents of athletes in the reporting year.<\/p>\n Number of reports increased by more than 20%\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n In 2025, the national and independent Reporting Service for Ethics Violations once again witnessed a considerable increase in the number of reports compared with the previous year.\u00a0In its fourth year in existence, the Reporting Service for Ethics Violations received 501 reports. Compared to the 412 reports from the previous year, this represents an increase of more than 21 per cent. In the last six months of the year in particular, the Reporting Service worked to clarify and optimise internal processes. Particularly worthy of note here are the various changes in preliminary investigation and triage, as a result of which incoming reports were classified more quickly and, in many cases, closed again shortly thereafter.
