A new Swiss Sports Tribunal (SST) has been established on 1 July 2024 by Swiss Olympic, the National Olympic Committee of Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The SST, based in Berne, has taken over the functions of the former Disciplinary Chamber of Swiss Sport and will be responsible for settling disputes and imposing sanctions regarding doping and ethics violations in sport in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

The SST comprises some twenty judges, who are lawyers and medical experts, and who are selected and appointed by the SST Foundation Board.<\/p>\n

Normally, the SST will decide cases by a three-member Panel.<\/p>\n

In cases, where there is a strong suspicion of an infringement of the four offences of the Swiss Olympic Statutes on Ethics in Swiss Sport, in force from 1 January 2022, Swiss Sport Integrity launches an investigation and prepares a report for the SST.<\/p>\n

Individuals involved in SST proceedings may be legally represented.<\/p>\n

SST Decisions are appealable to the Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days of written notification of the Decisions.<\/p>\n
